Von Miller: I’ll be a Bronco forever, I’m just working in L.A. right now – NBC Sports

Von Miller is about to play in the Super Bowl with the Rams, but in his heart he says he’s still with the team he won his first Super Bowl playing for.
Miller said that he would have preferred to play his entire career with the Broncos, who drafted him with the second overall pick in 2011.
“I didn’t want to leave, if it was up to me I’d still be in Denver,” Miller said. “This wasn’t my choice. I always wanted to be a Denver Bronco forever. I’ll always be a Denver Bronco forever. I’m just here working in L.A. right now.”
Miller said it’s been particularly difficult because his son remains in Denver.
“That was one of the toughest things I had to do, was to leave my first-born son in Denver and come here,” Miller said. “But it’s just the nature of my sport.”
Miller becomes a free agent in March, and it’s unclear where his future will be, but when his career is all over, he’ll consider himself first and foremost a Bronco.
C’mon man! Wow, can’t believe he’s saying this RIGHT before the SB with his L.A. teammates. SMH They’re probably going to look at him sideways in the locker room now. Like really dude?!
So you’ll always be a loser…..they didn’t want you!!!
Astoundingly stupid thing to say right now.
What a moron. Create controversy the week of the Super Bowl. I’m sure Rams fans really appreciate him coming out and saying that he really doesn’t want to be there. SMH.
Cheering for the rams for you Von go out the champion you are 🙂
Cool thing to say and can be appreciated by both sets of fans. As a chiefs fan when Jamaal Charles said he “always wanted to be a bronco”, after KC cut him, it cost him about half his following. It’s amazing how silly and petty these guys can be, especially the ones nearing retirement. Understand the business, understand fans are truly “fanatics” and crazy, so play your cards right, and keep your ability to sell autographs and your name for those retirement years. My guess is each one of those guys needs all the money they can get after living off those huge salaries for 5-10 years.
He’s the prodigal son. He screwed up a few things (lost his driver’s license, suspensions for performance enhancers, domestic issue) but like many young men, he grew up. You are encouraged to come home, son.
We still love you Von !! Good luck with your part time gig on Sunday !!
Vin seems like a good dude…and I like hearing people tell the truth instead of the usual bs most players would answer that question with.
Von, we are leaving the light on for you . . . go get that ring!
That is awesome! I’m not a fan of the Broncos but now I’m a fan of Millers.
Seems like every person I’ve ever known that lives in LA has said something similar…
If I’m a Rams fan, can I really be that upset by this?…..When pretty much my whole team, other than Kupp, is built with guys that started their careers and had lives somewhere else?
What a dumb thing to say during Super Bowl week. He’s not exactly endearing himself to Los Angeles or the Rams.
Everybody knew he felt that way. It was obvious the feelings he had for Denver. Eric Weddle was the same way when he played for the Rams in 2019.
It doesn’t matter. Miller’s been our best defensive player this postseason. All we need from him is one more vintage performance and we can hoist the Lombardi together.
It’s only fans who can’t wrap their heads around what he said and think it’s divisive. His teammates will understand. Especially Stafford and OBJ…
wow. how’s that taste, ram fan?
Bad timing on this statement. Say it AFTER the Super Bowl.
Bad move. Von is going to offend all 23 Rams fans.

Say this again after he gets two sacks in a win next week. Ask LA fans how upset they are that he loves the team he played on for a decade, after they win a Super Bowl.
He’s setting himself up to resign with the Broncos in the off-season. Not a bad deal for the Broncos, get a 2nd and a 3rd to rent a player to the Rams for 7 weeks and reaffirm Von’s desire to play out his career in Denver.
The people that actually think that he said something controversial or wrong is exactly why there’s the saying, “you can’t please everyone.” Somehow, someway, somebody is going to be upset with what you say or do, even if it doesn’t make any rational sense.
People really getting upset over this? People need some thicker skin if this is bothering some of you so much.
What a liar. He thinks he is too good to be on a mediocre team, so he wanted out to go get another ring just like Emmanuel Sanders. I’m happy to report that it hasn’t worked out for Emmanuel Sanders.

He said nothing wrong. All facts. He should be applauded.
Which one of his teammates do you think is upset that he misses his son and loves the franchise he played for?
Very commendable words Von.

The opposite of this, is accurate.
Had he played up to his ability, he would have stayed in Denver but he can at least finish up this year strong. A win will put him in the HOF but can he finish his career with passion ?
He knows the Rams can’t afford to keep him as a FA.
Go get another MVP von! Denver’s cheering for you
This is why the Rams won’t win. It’s not a team. It’s just a collection of really good players. The Bengals are an actual team.
