new York Yankees They have lost 11 of their last 14 matches and eight of their last ten.
They have had a poor run in August, and haven’t played well at all since the start of the second half.
They are no longer the best team in New York or the American League: they lost those privileges to the New York Mets and Houston Astros, respectively.
So something needed to be done to give them a spark.
They brought some trading deadline reinforcements, but today, they announced three additional announcements that should go a long way in improving their hapless and destroyed roster.
“Florial, Cabrera & Marinacio added to roster from AAA. Holmes (back) moves to IL. Andujar & Locastro return to AAA,” tweeted YES Network’s Jack Curry.

Cabrera is looking to make an impression
oswaldo cabrera Plays shortstop, second base and third base: It’s not hard to argue that with a batting average of 340 and eight home runs since July 4, he has a far more aggressive bounce than he Josh Donaldson, Isiah Kinner-Falefaand maybe even Gleber Torres This time.
He has power from both sides of the plate, but this season he has also improved his plate discipline.
If he can adjust to MLB from Triple-A pitching, Cabrera could be a future regular.
Right now, he’s probably looking to make an appearance.
Estevan Florial has long been a top prospect in the Yankees system, but injuries and contact issues have held him back.
He is trying to take advantage of his new shot.
Ron Marinaccio has been extremely solid in mid-relief, with 2.03 ERAs and plenty of strikeouts in 26.2 innings.
The Yankees hope the trio can contribute and help the team recover from its latest mass meltdown.
