From music booth To bob gibson To Ozzy Smith, Albert Pujols, Yadier MolinaAnd Adam WainwrightThe Cardinals organization has seen it all.

So, when a young player who is coming forward and has a monster game, it is easy to start comparing them to the greatest players who have ever worn birds at bat.

It is not that these players are suddenly being compared to legends, it simply means that they have joined a giant.

nolan gorman Tuesday was a two-homer, four-RBI game against the Milwaukee Brewers, which saw them hug from Pujols.

Cardinals sideline reporter Jim Hayes tweeted a picture of the two hugging.

two generations, one picture

Here we are seeing the past, present and future all converge in an instant for the Cardinals.

You can bet that Pujol was proud of Gorman after such an amazing game.

The Cardinals are all about tradition and success and when a young player has a good game, you know the veterans of the team enjoy watching him do his job.

But it’s nice to see two different generations together in one picture.

Pujols is certainly an important veteran voice in the Cards clubhouse and a man who has mentored many great young players, Gorman included.

The young Cardinals can certainly learn a lot from greats like Pujol and the picture posted by Hayes shows how the lessons of veteran players for young players bear fruit.
