Teyana Taylor is teaming up with a Bumble to raise black voices about dating. The star will host and interview several Black stars in the new project, “Love2Sight”.
Bumble prides itself on being a dating app for women, but black women have complained about how hard it is to engage with dating apps in general due to the lack of representation.
According to essence“This is a topical series considering the 2022 Bumble survey, which found that 35% of respondents said they feel that mainstream media does not adequately represent the black experience in terms of love. Also , 45% of African American respondents shared that they would feel worthy of love if they saw more representation of it in the black community.”
The new series was inspired by Teyana Taylor’s production company, The Aunties, an all-female production company.
The six-episode series begins August 10, and some guests are expected to stay, including Sean “Diddy” Combs, Lori Harvey, Madison Bailey, Iman Shumpert, Zidena, Niece Nash and daughter Dia, Joey Bada $$ and Many are included.
“It was important for us to respect the wide range of what love looks like in the black community, and to tackle the conversation from different perspectives, preferences, and generational lenses,” says Bumble’s Director of Talent and Influencers, Christina Hardy.
She adds, “Luv2SeeIt aims to recognize, reflect and represent the Black community – my community – within our brand. I hope this series inspires all walks of life to take the first step in their lives. ,
Taylor will explore relationships, sex, polygamy, intimacy, red flags and dating profiles with her guests.
