At the MLB level, being in the lead is often a good omen of winning the game.
The teams that jump further on the score often take a “W”.
However, the drop in scores is nothing to worry about for 2022 new York Yankees,
“as @ktsharp Seems to mention every day, the Yankees are the only team in baseball that has a winning record in games where they are behind by any point (20–18). Why do they feel like they are winning even after losing? I guess that’s why,” senior MLB writer and analyst Jason Stark tweeted on Thursday, after the Yankees won the Astros late in the innings.

There are two conclusions to that tweet.
One, the sole fact that the Yankees have a winning record at any point behind is incredibly impressive.
The Yankees Are Not Only Resilient: They’re Downright Major
We’ve seen him flip scores while being down one, two, three, or even more runs in this campaign: he seems to have the calmness and patience to wait for his moment, count, and start rallies. Most opportunistic times.
But there’s also one important thing to consider: Yes, the Yankees are 20-18 in games in which they find themselves down in score at any time.
Since they are 52-18 overall, that means they haven’t lagged behind in 32 games.
32 of the 70 games he played (about half) have been “smooth sailing” for the Bronx Bombers.
They are a really special group, and they are set to return to playoff prominence this year if they can stay relatively healthy.
