Search underway after shooting 2 sheriff’s deputys in Alabama

Officials said they are looking for a suspect in Alabama who allegedly shot two Bibb County Sheriff’s deputy.

The shooting occurred Wednesday afternoon on Highway 25 in the Kaaba River Wildlife Management Area during a chase after a stolen vehicle, according to Bibb County District Attorney Michael Jackson.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 26-year-old Austin Patrick. The Alabama law enforcement agency said he was considered armed and extremely dangerous.

Officials said Hall has a criminal record since 2012 with 72 separate charges, including assault, attempting to evade police and resisting arrest. According to ALEA, he tried to strangle a corrections officer in Calhoun County in 2020. Hall was released from Calhoun County Jail in April.

At present, the status of the representatives has not been informed.
