Pujols is fifth on the all-time leaderboard in home runs: Alex RodriguezWith 696, he is the only other name ahead of him.
Since he said years ago that this would be his last MLB campaign, Pujols only has a month to pursue that elusive 700th career run.
He started the season requiring 21 to get there, and already has 14: with seven additional round-trippers, he would have successfully joined that incredible trio mentioned above.
Pujol’s home run number two compared to Hall of Famers
Pujols has hit so many homers that some Hall of Famer figures pale in comparison to their numbers.
“Hall of Fame” Jeff Bagwell Ended his career with 449 home runs. hall of fame Vladimir Guerrero Ended his career with 449 home runs. Albert Pujols currently has a home run off of 449 different pitchers,” tweeted Jim Payson.

Bagwell and Guerrero have total home runs, Pujols has the pitchers they made home runs from.
He does the homer against a different pitcher, he would have done it against 450 different throwers: that would also be a good feat for him to achieve.
He is focusing on getting to 700.
It’s not as easy as it sounds: he plays mostly against lefties these days, and has found massive success in that lefty-killer role (.881 ops).
Pujol has been on fire since the All-Star break, and if he continues at his current pace, he has a chance to make history.
