“I wish I could actually help him”

as many of you know Brittany Griner He is currently on trial after being in Russian custody since February after being accused of having vape cartridges with hashish oil in his luggage. She has since pleaded guilty to Russian drug charges, but has denied that she intends to break the law. Several celebrities are speaking out in support of Britney returning home, the latest person to speak up is Chris Brown.

In a post shared on his Instagram story, Chris said,

“It’s not my issue. But…..that’s the f*cked they’re doing with Brittany Griner. If it was a male star athlete it would have been more outspoken and supportive. That sh*t lame f*ck’s As in. I really wish I could help her.”

as before this Reportedly, on Thursday, Brittany told the court, “I want to plead guilty, your honor. But there was no pun. I didn’t want to break the law.”

A day before his guilty plea was entered. The White House shared that after Brittany wrote a letter to Biden, President Biden and Vice President Harris had spoken to Brittany’s wife, Cherrell Griner, asking for her help to bring her home.

The White House issued a statement saying, “The President called on Cherrell to reassure him that he is working for the early release of Brittany, as well as the release of Paul Whelan and other American citizens who have been wronged.” They have been detained or taken hostage in Russia and around the world. They also read a draft of the letter the president sent to Brittany Griner today.

If convicted, Brittany could face up to 10 years in prison. According to CNNHis next hearing has been fixed for July 14.
