atlanta brave Infield prospect. called upon von grissom Out of need to start Wednesday’s game.

He is currently battling multiple injuries in the middle of the field, so he picked Grissom from his Double-A team.

That doesn’t mean Grissom isn’t talented: he is, and it’s obvious.

Injuries gave him a chance: it would be up to him to take advantage of it.

Clearly, the team is ready to give them an extended look as they look for solutions.

Most importantly, the players didn’t look upset during their MLB debut on Wednesday.

Quite the contrary, in fact: he looked like a natural.

That day, he went 2-for-4 with a home run (412-foot shot off) darwinzon hernandez) and a stolen base to promote the Braves’ victory over the Boston Red Sox.

Part of the Braves’ Future (and Present)

Grissom joined Michael Harris As the two 21-year-olds in the lineup of III Atlanta.

Harris has made good progress since calling out a few months ago: Could Grissom do the same?

A first-time batsman, he had a stellar season in the minors before the call came.

He started the year at High-A, and was short of an impressive .312/.404/.487 with 11 home runs and 20 stolen bases before being promoted to Double-A.

There, he was even better, hitting .363/.408/.516 with three long deliveries and seven steals in 98 trips to the plate.

This earned itself a call-up for Atlanta.

It is likely that he still needs a few more batsmen in the high minors, but as long as Grissom can produce, he will likely continue to play for the Braves.

He is off to a great start, and the organization is ready to give him the time to play, which is what a youngster needs.
