‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ actress Denise Dowse dies of meningitis at age 64

‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ actress Denise Dowsey has died at the age of 64.

On Saturday, Denise’s sister Tracy announced the passing of her younger brother. In an Instagram post, Tracy said that Denise was “the most wonderful sister, a consummate, brilliant actress, mentor and director. She was my best friend and the ultimate family member.”

On August 7, Tracy revealed that Denise had been hospitalized and was in a coma due to a “vicarious form of meningitis.”

Denise was known for her amazing acting skills on the big screen. For ten years (1990–2000) Dennis played a strict vice principal in the series ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’. From 2001-2004, she appeared in 32 episodes of ‘The Guardian’ as Judge Damsen. In 2004, Dennis starred in the film ‘Ray’ as Ray Charles’ manager Marlene Andre. In 2005, he was featured in the film ‘Coach Carter’ as the principal of Richmond High School.
