Aaron Boone reaches a Yankees milestone over the weekend

Their record of 72–43 is the second best in the American League behind the Houston Astros, and even though the Yanks have lost eight of their last 10 and have been really struggling since the All-Star break, their season as a whole. Has been highly successful in the competitive AL East.

The Postseason Will Define Boone’s Career

However, their biggest challenge will be to win the post season.

In October, the Yankees are 11-11 under Boone: They’ve been extremely competitive most of the time, but haven’t been able to take the next step.

Boone has not made it to the World Series as a manager: the American League Championship Series is the furthest away of the season so far.

He will try to change that in 2022, and they have a really talented team – with a few flaws, especially at shortstop and regarding their pitching depth.

If the season ends today, the Yankees will receive a first round bye while the wild card series is played.

After that, it will be Showtime for Boone and his team.

The organization hasn’t won a World Series title since 2009, and the fanbase is getting impatient.
