4 people in critical condition due to lightning in DC Park

Four people are in critical condition after being struck by lightning in a Washington, D.C., park, officials said Thursday evening.

DC Fire and EMS said it had responded to Lafayette Park, located opposite the White House, and was treating four patients.

Two men and two women were taken to field hospitals with “life-threatening injuries” after apparent lightning strikes, DC fire and EMS Told,
